Summary :

 

This project aims to conserve drinking water, locally and nationally by reducing water losses, utilization of 16 locally developed sanitary fixtures, intensive public awareness program (media and personal contact), and training of local plumbers.

 

These measures resulted in reducing the water consumption by 36 million m3 in one year with cost saving of about 5 million USD/year. Consequently, reducing the load on sewerage system.
